Daud, Shahzad and Mughal ran novice and expert designers through matched tasks in Figma and in Galileo AI, then scored the results with NASA-TLX for cognitive load, CPSS for creativity, and a stopwatch. Galileo AI wins decisively on effort and speed: expert cognitive load drops from 3.79 to 2.42, and completion time roughly halves. But Figma beats it on the CPSS creativity score for both novices and experts, every time. The trade is explicit and measured rather than assumed, which is what makes this useful: pick the AI tool for throughput, not for the design itself.
