Agent-shipped PRs shift the bottleneck to review

Leonardo De La Rocha, a design leader and executive writing on his own site Design Outcomes, describes two of his design leads shipping pull requests through a coding agent this week and finds the friction wasn't in authoring but in review.

One PR passed QA before a designer could even parse the comments engineers left on it, prompting a request for the agent to generate a plain-language diff summary for whoever filed the ticket. Engineers, meanwhile, resisted being named reviewer on designer-authored code. De La Rocha's fix keeps review with the tech lead who owns the code, at the same bar as any engineer's PR, and has one designer asking the agent itself to pick a reviewer based on current PR load.
