getdesign.md's report leans on 64,000 onboarding answers from people who already came looking for a tool to fix their AI-generated interfaces, so the headline finding, that 59.4% just want their site to "look better," is closer to a confirmation of why they signed up than a discovery about the market. The more useful number is buried further down: 37.5% of builders already using a platform like Squarespace or WordPress say they'd ditch it and rebuild directly with Claude or ChatGPT, rising past 50% for GoDaddy and Squarespace users specifically. That's a real signal about where legacy builders are exposed, even inside a report whose real purpose is selling DESIGN.md files as the fix.
