The headline items from Config 2026, Motion and shaders, are flashy, but the more consequential change is buried in the agent update: it now supports custom skills you can save and share across a team, web search, MCP connectors to external tools, and file attachments, all inside the design file rather than a bolted-on chat panel. New threads are also visible by default to teammates with edit access. That's a real shift from prompting a chatbot toward building persistent, reusable workflows a whole team can run. Most of this is open beta and free of AI credits for now, so treat availability and pricing as unsettled.
